We acknowledge that in Saskatchewan, our work takes place on Treaty Territory and the Homeland of the Métis. We pay our respect to the First Nations and Métis ancestors of this place and reaffirm our relationship with one another. The federal government and First Nations signed Treaties 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 between 1871 and 1906 in the area that is now Saskatchewan.

INTERNATIONAL ROWING RESULTS Summer 2025

Two international regattas took place in July with Saskatchewan Rowers representing Team Canada.

The International Rowing Challenge took place July 15-16 in Ann Arbor, Michigan with teams from United States, Canada, Mexico, and New Zealand. Saskatchewan junior rower, Heidi Wall, who rows out of the Saskatoon Rowing Club, brought home two medals for Canada at the USRowing International Rowing Challenge. Wall claimed gold in the women’s quadruple sculls event, silver in the mixed eight race, 5th in Womens single, 6th in Women's four and 11th in the Womens double.

The FISU World University Games took place in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany from July 16-27. The regatta ran during the last three days of competition from July 25-27 in Duisburg, Germany on the Duisburg-Wedau Regatta Course. Team Canada sent a squad of 12 rowers (7 women, 5 men) to the event, which included Saskatchewan rowers Calvin Pally (University of Saskatchewan) and Pepper Howe (University of Victoria).

Pepper raced the women’s double and finished seventh overall, while Calvin rowed the Men’s double and placed ninth overall. This is Pepper’s first-time representing Team Canada and the second time for Calvin, who competed at the CanAmMex regatta in 2024.
