2023 Erg Series
UPDATE - January 7, 2023
The Canadian Indoor Rowing event has partnered with World Rowing to host the 2023 Indoor Rowing Championships in Canada this year. There was going to be a virtual component, however when the Erg Series was being planned in October, all of the details regarding how to qualify for the virtual racing at World Indoors was not yet released.
This information has now come out, and participants who wish to compete virtually will need to either attend a qualification indoor event (none of which are being held in Canada) or submit individually. In either scenario, participants would need to be Top 3 in their age category continentally, meaning all of North American (Canada, USA, Mexico, Central America). This is a tough way to qualify, and so for the interest of all participants in the Erg Series there will be some changes:
Purpose: To promote competition between the members of clubs and fitness centres, crossfit gyms and at home rowers in Saskatchewan and encourage fitness across the rowing community.
How the Erg Series Works
Everyone who is a registered SRA member with a rowing or fitness club can participate in the series for free (except for fees related to competing at the World Indoor and Saskatchewan Indoor Rowing Championships). If you are looking to join the competition but don't have a club membership, contact us at skrowoffice@gmail.com and we will get you started.
